Dare to be Different
Written
as a series of letters from father to son, Dare to be Different explores
the concept of entrepreneurship as it applies to finding one’s dream and making
it a reality.
The
book begins as the son, struggling to find his way in life, writes that he is
at a “fork in the road”. He seeks a way of life that will leave him fulfilled
and truly acting daily on his heart’s desire. His questions feel familiar; they
are the often-unspoken inquiries that lie in the back of the mind as one
wonders: “Is this it? Have I made it?”
The
father answers his questions – and in doing so, the reader’s – in a
series of eight letters. The letters are heartfelt but wise, leaving the reader
with a renewed sense of purpose and the means to set out to accomplish dreams.
The
books three co-authors, Terry L. Duperon, David M. Hall, and John A. Dunn, each
bring years of expertise and experience to the subject. Their varied viewpoints
give the book a continually fresh perspective, ensuring that the reader sees
each possibility presented from all angles.
