Duperon Education

Founded in 2003, Duperon Education was created as an answer to a question: What if the skills of an entrepreneur are not inborn? What if they are skills that can be taught and passed on? Terry Duperon felt he was well-qualified to answer the question. He has spent his life creating and inventing solutions to problems in the waterflow management industry. Duperon Corporation, established in 1979, is a rapidly expanding corporation, growing at a dynamic rate of 25% or greater each year. He knew that entrepreneurs could be very successful - he had all the proof he needed in himself.

Duperon wanted to pass on the knowledge he had, to introduce others to the lifestyle that had been so rewarding to him. He knew his questions needed to be answered. Duperon began by focusing on what an inventor does that allows him to invent something new - be it a business, product, or system. He pinned down the skills surrounding an entrepreneur's creativity and wrapped them into a course for the public. Chris Krieger was recruited to assist with the management portion of the class, and the pair was in business.

The course began with a six-week format. Initially, Duperon and Krieger were not sure if the idea would hold water - was it even possible to teach how to invent? Their question was soon answered as they began to see the successes of their students. It was just the proof they needed to continue to shape and define the course, and further delve into what it is that entrepreneurs and inventors do to create.
